Small Journeys is a visual narrative project that explores the beauty of everyday encounters during transit. The series captures the seemingly insignificant objects, textures, and fleeting scenes that unfold. This journey becomes a documentation of the subtle stories woven into the routes we take, showcasing the relationship between movement, observation, and memory.
Each image is a small landmark in its own right, representing a tiny chapter in a larger journey.

They link us to our losses
Commissioned Piece
"They link us to our losses" is from Philip Larkin's poem Reference Back. In this poem, Larkin meditates on memory, familial relationships, and the inevitable passage of time. As he listens to music with his mother, he reflects on how past moments and experiences persistently connect us to what we have lost, deepening a sense of both connection and melancholy.

Upon these Japanese Ema plaques I have written the 30 Articles in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. This is a reminder of the fundamental freedoms to which we are all entitled and the enduring struggle for justice. The viewer is invited to contemplate the ephemeral nature of the Ema’s against the flimsy interpretations of the Articles and the ongoing violations being committed.
